Paige and Sam were married on June first at the Inn of Seventh Ray in Topanga Canyon.
Paige was in her “me” era. After a few trips to Sam’s natural wine bar & restaurant in Los Angeles, he became her “new wine guy.” One night, after a particularly good bottle, a phone number made its way onto the receipt. Sam called immediately.
They dove in head first. Good wine, good timing, no notes.
Sam works in wine,
Paige drinks it.
Paige’s friend Gabrielle designed all their paper goods
Paige’s hand crafted silk dress was custom made. She collaborated with Sewing Archives to build out a shimmering gown that felt ethereal & whimsical
The couple spent their morning in Topanga Canyon enjoying the views and drinking natural wine while getting together with their friends.
The pair were married creekside at a restaurant in the mountains of Los Angeles
Paige and Sam were pretty easy when it came to choosing a wedding venue. They started looking soon after getting engaged, with one nonnegotiable, Paige wanted to be married in Los Angeles in Nature.
Paige loves gardens, classical details, and a healthy dose of LA eccentricity. Sam is more of an outdoorsy, forest-boy type. The Inn of the Seventh Ray managed to meet somewhere in the middle, with romantic gardens, statues, jasmine and cherry trees, and just the right amount of Topanga Canyon weirdness.
Long woven into the character of the canyon, the Inn of seventh ray has a personality all its own. It feels a little removed from the rest of Los Angeles, without requiring you to actually go too far. For Paige and Sam, it was the right mix of nature, old-world charm, and the kind of offbeat atmosphere that makes a place memorable.
The Inn of seventh Ray
Getting married at a restaurant is a pretty chic move. The food is already good, the tables are already set, and nobody has to pretend that dinner is an afterthought. The Inn of Seventh Ray’s chefs only source from local markets & have hand crafted sodas.
Surrounded by trees and tucked into the canyon, the Inn of seventh ray has a quality that makes it feel removed from Los Angeles without trying too hard. less like a wedding venue and more like a really excellent Los Angeles mountain restaurant hosting one hell of a dinner party. The evening was intimate and magical — good food, good wine, candlelight, and a very good group of people.
